David Katz is an accomplished television editor based in Los Angeles. Born and raised in La Costa, California, he has had a lifelong passion for storytelling. Initially pursuing a career as a writer in Hollywood, David soon became captivated by the world of post-production, where he recognized the power of editing in shaping a story. After five years assisting on feature films and TV movies, he made his first foray into reality television as an editor on Paradise Hotel (Fox), a move that launched his successful career in unscripted television.

Over the past 25 years, David has edited for a wide range of networks and production companies, including A&E, ABC, CBS, Disney, Discovery, E! Networks, Food Network, Fox, FX, HGTV, Lifetime, Miramax, MTV, NBC, Paramount, Scripps Networks, Sony, TBS, TLC, Universal, Warner Bros. and VH1, among others. His work spans a variety of genres, with a particular focus on reality TV, where he’s built a reputation as a skilled and intuitive storyteller.

David was most recently the Emmy® nominated Senior Editor for The Talk on CBS, contributing to the show's success throughout its 15th season. He continues to work in television editing, living in Los Angeles with his family.
